La Mola (Menorca)

Menorca es conocida por sus playas, su vegetación, su tranquilidad... Pero también tiene monumentos con gran valor histórico. Uno de los más importantes y mejor conservados es la Fortaleza de la Mola (también también llamada Fortaleza de Isabel II). Se construyó entre 1848 y 1875 para defender la isla de amenazas británicas y actualmente, es un gran ejemplo de arquitectura militar del S. XIX. 

Menorca is known for its beaches, its vegetation, its weather ... But it also has great historical monuments. One of the most important and best preserved is the Fortaleza de la Mola (also also called Fortress of Isabel II). It was built between 1848 and 1875 to defend the island from British threats. Noe it is a great example of military architecture of S. XIX.

La visita puede hacerse a pie o en carrito a moto.
La extensión del terreno es enorme y la visita dura de 2 a 3 horas (mejor ir en dias nublados).

The tour can be done on foot or by car. 

The amount of land is huge and the visit lasts 2 to 3 hours (better to go in cloudy days).

Hay tantas cosas por ver y el tiempo es tan poco!. Por eso no puede evitar comprarme un libro en la tienda que hay de souvenirs.
